A security expert, Muhammed Bello Bakyasuwa has commended the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa over initiative for the establishment of Joint Military Theatre Operations in the North West to tackle insecurity across the region.
Bakyasuwa, the immediate past Commandant, Zamfara Anti Thuggery Agency, noted that the ongoing military operations is capable of addressing security situation that had been ravaging the state and region for over a decade.
Recently, the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa had recently during his one-day visit to Zamfara state, said a joint Military Theatre Operation to be established in the region.
The CDS said the theater to be named “Operation Fansar Yamma North West, meaning Rescue West Region Operations”.
Bakyasuwa applauded the effort of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), for working towards establishment of the theatre command in Zamfara.
“The operation FANSAN YAMMA “to combat the lingering security challenges in the state such as cattle rustling, banditry activities, illegal mining, drug abuse and kidnapping”.
