Kaduna unveils strategic health policy document to boost health sector

In its bids to maintain approaches that will directly address key health indicators and impact positively on the lives of Kaduna State’s most vulnerable populations, Governor Uba Sani has unveiled three strategic health policy documents and a public health law that will positively impact the health and lives of all citizens of Kaduna State.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Kaduna yesterday ,the Governor said the three strategic health policy documents and a public health law would positively impact the health and lives of all citizens of Kaduna State, strengthen health human resources, and epidemic preparedness response.
The policy documents, he further explained, will also serve as guides for catering to the health of mothers, children, adolescents, and the elderly.
Gov Sani explained that the documents include the Kaduna State Public Health Law, One Health Strategic Plan, Human Resource for Health Policy, And The Integrated Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent, Elderly Health, Plus Nutrition Strategy.
These documents, when implemented, will lead to a reduction in morbidity and mortality due to health-related conditions in the State.
