Niger State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has intercepted a truck loaded with a suspected used pipes in Paikoro local government area of the state.
The state commandant, Adamu Abdullahi Kambra made this known while speaking with journalists in Minna, saying that the Anti-vandal unit of the command heading towards Lambata intercepted the truck in Paiko.
Kambra said four suspects were arrested including the driver of the truck who confirmed that they took the items from Zamfara state to Minna, Niger state capital where the scrap dealer resides.
He added that the suspects could not provide necessary documents but alleged that the used water pipes belong to the Zamfara state government water board.
Kambra explained that thorough investigation is ongoing with the Zamfara state command to hand over the suspects to Zamfara state government for prosecution.
