A Kaduna-based forum under the auspices of the Southern Kaduna, PDP SOKWINA, has condemned in the strongest terms the recent attack in some villages of Sanga local government area of Southern-Kaduna zone of Kaduna state which resulted in the death and injury of many citizens, especially women and children, and the destruction of properties worth millions of Naira, describing such wanton killings as enough.

The forum, in a press statement issued and signed by Hon. Hussaini Dembo, Yohanna Allamagani and Mordecai Sunday Ibrahim as Chairman, Secretary and Publicity Secretary respectively, further described the attack as “highly regrettable and unwarranted, adding that the fresh attack of Saturday, June 28 on Paa and Amber villages took place despite the 24-hour curfew imposed on the local government.

“This continued barbaric action of the assailants is a clear manifestation that they are enemies of the state, who do not want to let peace prevail in the zone and the state at large, especially in view of the last peace pact signed early this year by warring parties in the zone.

“We, therefore, are calling on the peace loving people of Sanga LGA to please remain calm, prayerful and very vigilant and not taking the laws into their hands, as we call on government to redouble its efforts at securing the lives and properties of the people of the zone and state in general”, it stated.
