Former President Goodluck Jonathan will on October 21 unveil a factory and tricycle products in Abuja aimed at making it easier to transport goods and products.

The factory, Zeetin Technologies, is located in the Idu Industrial Area of Abuja and assembles tricycles designed to facilitate the movement of goods and people across the country.

The company’s management said Jonathan had been selected as the chairman of the occasion and would officially unveil the products.

In a statement signed by its chairman, Barrister Robert Azibaola, the management said the name “Zeetin” means “for you,” reflecting the company’s commitment to building products that support the success of its customers.

“Zeetin Technologies assembles the VZ150 and VZ200 tricycles at the Idu Industrial Area, Abuja, in technical partnership with VIAR Motor Indonesia, a manufacturer with more than 30 years of experience in three-wheeler engineering,” the statement said.

The company said its decision to assemble tricycles in Nigeria was aimed at making transportation more affordable and accessible for small businesses.

According to the statement, the tricycles are designed to serve market traders, farmers transporting produce to towns, artisans, distributors handling last-mile deliveries and commuters.

The management noted that local production would create employment opportunities and strengthen Nigeria’s industrial capacity.

It added that the factory employs technicians trained at VIAR’s facility in Semarang, Indonesia, alongside personnel in quality control, planning, sales and after-sales services.

The initiative is also expected to support a growing network of dealers, service workshops and spare-parts traders.

The company said the first units produced at the factory would be handed over to their owners during the launch.

It added that future plans include increasing local content through component production and, eventually, introducing compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric models.

The management described the project as a step towards developing Nigeria’s manufacturing sector and providing practical transportation solutions for traders, farmers and commuters.
