Children at Jigawa Assembly advocate for child protection laws

As part of the celebration to mark 2024 children’s day, the Jigawa children mostly students with support from United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) stormed Jigawa Assembly and took over the parliament.
The interesting sitting presided by their Speaker Jamila Aliyu Abdulkadir, deliberated on Child Rights Protection laws as a subject matter and agenda of the day in the house.
The house during the sitting also deliberated on issues related to the improvement of girl child education as well as how to address out of schools children in Jigawa state.
The speaker who addressed children as future leaders of tomorrow urged government, parents and all other stakeholders to support them in achieving their dreams of making Jigawa and Nigeria great.
