According to Yusuf Kabir, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the free uniforms will also support families facing financial challenges in meeting their children’s educational needs.

Commissioner for Education Ali Haruna Makoda noted that the ministry has made significant strides in training and retaining personnel, as well as providing timely supplies of teaching and learning materials.

He commended teachers for their efforts in reciprocating the government’s commitment to quality education.

The distribution exercise, which began on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Government House, Kano, is part of the administration’s efforts to address the issue of out-of-school children in the state.
