The Southern Kaduna Leadership Council has applauded President Bola Tinubu for operating an inclusive policies and his “monumental decision” on the approval of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Elder Ishaya Dary Akau, and made available to the media in Kaduna.
Akau said: “The Monumental decision is a testament to President Tinubu’s “unwavering commitment to inclusive development, educational advancement, and quality healthcare delivery across Nigeria.”
Akau, who is the former Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, said the institution, when operational, will not only bring unprecedented opportunities for the people of Kaduna State but will also serve as a beacon of progress and hope for generations to come.
He stated that the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan would revolutionize healthcare delivery, saving lives and improving the well-being of countless citizens in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State as a whole, and its neighboring states.
“The Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia when established, will address the critical need for specialized education and skills development, preparing Nigerian youths in this region for the challenges of a dynamic, technology-driven world, Akau, also, former Chairman, Subsidy. Re-Investment Programme (SURE-P) stated
“President Tinubu’s historic gesture has rekindled our hope in a government that prioritizes equity, fairness, and the welfare of all its citizens – a true demonstration of your “Renewed Hope Agenda” for inclusive and progressive governance.”
“The people of Southern Kaduna therefore, pledge their support for your progressive policies aimed at transforming the country as the number one leading black nation”, he stated.
Recall that the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, had on Thursday signed the Bill for the Establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia for onward transmission to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for formal assent.
The sponsor of the bill, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South posted pictures of the official signing of the bill by Senator Akpabio on his (Katung’s) Facebook account, captioned it “KEEP TRUSTING THE PROCESS.”
It would be recalled that the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima while on a visit to Southern Kaduna on 29th December 2024 disclosed that:
He said: “After discussion with Senator Sunday Katung and the Member of the House of Representatives, we reached out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who graciously consented to the establishment of a Federal University in Southern Kaduna.”
