Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has mourned the demised of Peoples Daily Correspondent, Alhaji Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, who was also the proprietor of Blue Ink Online Media.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, and made available to the media.
It stated that Governor Radda recognizes Alhaji Sa’idu’s contributions to journalism in Katsina State, noting his exceptional service as a two-term Chairman of the Katsina Correspondents’ Chapel.
He added that Sa’idu dedication to journalistic excellence and his commitment to truth-telling have left an unforgettable mark on Katsina’s media space.
According to the statement: “The Governor extends his condolences to Alhaji Sa’idu’s family and the entire Katsina Correspondents’ Chapel. In this moment of grief, I pray that Almighty Allah forgives the deceased shortcomings and grants him Aljannah Firdaus.
“The late Alhaji Sa’idu throughout his career, demonstrated pure professionalism across various media organizations, including the Katsina State Radio Service, the defunct Today Newspaper, Leadership Newspaper and People’s Daily Newspaper, and DITV Broadcast.”
