Southern Kaduna Stakeholders identify Sen. Danjuma Laah as pillar of progress

Some political stakeholders in Southern Kaduna have applauded the legacy of Senator Danjuma Tella Laah, describing him as a pillar of progress, a grassroots mobilizer, and a champion of the people.

The leaders of the group, Victor Mathew, Daniel Joseph Ciroma, Ibrahim Hassan Yaro, and Hajiya Jumai Zango paid tributes to the former lawmaker for his immense contributions to the region’s development.

They spoke at a press conference organized by the Southern Kaduna Supporters for Uba Sani and President Bola Tinubu.

They highlighted Senator Laah’s crucial role in Governor Uba Sani’s 2023 election victory, despite opposition, commending him for his efforts in building political bridges and fostering national unity.

Also, they noted that Senator Laah’s vast political network spans key national figures such as Vice President Kashim Shettima, First Lady Senator Remi Tinubu, Senator Bukola Saraki, and Senator Ahmed Lawan. Beyond politics, he has been instrumental in securing over 400 federal job placements for indigenes of Kaduna State.

“These achievements transcend political, religious, and ethnic affiliations. Senator Laah has been the largest private employer in Southern Kaduna from 2009 to 2019, and his commitment to economic empowerment has had a lasting impact on countless families,” the group stated.

“His philanthropic initiatives in education and healthcare have also earned widespread commendation. He has been at the forefront of building health centers, schools, and scholarship programs aimed at uplifting underserved communities.

“As Southern Kaduna embraces the future under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we urge that Senator Laah’s experience and political wisdom be leveraged to ensure governance delivers tangible benefits to the people,” they added.

The stakeholders further acknowledged the approval of a federal university in Southern Kaduna as a major step towards bridging educational gaps in the region.

They praised the appointment of a Southern Kaduna son, Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa, as well as ongoing federal government efforts to establish a Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan to enhance healthcare delivery.
