The Otunba of Yoruba community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Dr. Wasiu Tunwase, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reduce the prices of commodities in order to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.
He also charged President Tinubu to join hands with the security agents so as to wage war against terrorists ranging from banditry, kidnapping, Boko Haram and Armed robbery.
Tunwase, who made the appeal while speaking to newsmen after the Eid-el-fitr prayers on Sunday in Zuba, further called on Tinubu to make fuel a cheaper and affordable to Nigerians.
He noted that due to the increased of fuel prices the transporters have made things difficult to the people to travel in terms of transportation fares.
He then pleaded with President Tinubu as well as the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike to expedite action to deal with the land grabbers or snatchers in then FCT in order not to dent the image of the Present administration.
He equally called on Tinubu and Wike to stop the Area Council Chairmen from demolishing people’s shops unnecessarily even when the court has given an injunction, disclosing that ten of his shops were demolished by the administration of Gwagwalada Area Council at the livestock market in Zuba without any reason.
