Bonaventure Enemali, a former Anambra State Commissioner, has been decorated as the Assistant Commander General, Human Resources, South East of the Nigerian Forest Security Services (NFSS).

The official decoration took place on August 14, 2024, marking NFSS’s first appointment of its kind in the region. Speaking to journalists after his decoration, Enemali expressed gratitude for the honour, noting, “This appointment is a call to greater service in protecting our natural resources and ensuring effective human resource management in the South East.”

Enemali, who began his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) in 2022, is also known for his remarkable roles in youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

He served as the Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy in Anambra State in March 2018 and was later re-appointed Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning, and Rural Development in June 2019, before leaving office in March 2022 at the end of Governor Willie Obiano’s administration. Commenting on his service, a political analyst, Mrs. Nkechi Okafor, described him as “a dynamic leader whose policies positively impacted youth development in Anambra.”

Beyond public office, Enemali is the founding chairman of the Anambra Entrepreneurship Incubation Program (ANIP) and Expression Awka. He has served on several state boards, including the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), the State Physical Planning Board, the Boundary Committee (SBC), and as Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board in Anambra State.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management and the Institute of Management Consultants, Enemali is also a Certified Management Consultant and a member of the Chartered Association of Business Administrators, Canada. In recognition of his contributions to global development, he was appointed Advisory Panel Member of the UN-IPGC on October 28, 2022.
