The Chairmen Forum of North-East State of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has expressed their dissatisfaction with the Federal Government over the exclusion of the entire North-East region from the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) initiative.

This was contained in a communiqué read and  issued to Journalists  by SDP Chairman in Gombe Malam Adamu Modibbo at the conclusion of a zonal meeting.

The meeting was said to have brought together SDP Chairmen from Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, and Yobe States to  convened and  strengthen party unity inorder to strategise towards future electoral victories.

However, the Forum expressed deep concern over what it described as a “deliberate and unjust” omission of the North-East from the federal agro-industrial scheme.

“It is unacceptable that a region with vast agricultural resources and one of the largest land masses in the country is ignored in such a critical development initiative.

“We call on President Bola  Tinubu and the Federal Government to urgently reconsider this exclusion and ensure that the region benefits equitably from national development projects,” he said.

He disclosed that his organization has followed up on Governor Uba Sani’s reforms in the Health sector, especially the upgrade of 250 primary healthcare centers from level 1 to level 2, making Kaduna the only State in Nigeria to have advanced to such a level.
