Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has called on Focal Persons to avoid unhealthy rivalry and work together for the state’s development.
In a statement signed by Ibrahim Baba Saleh, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), to Gov. Buni, on Media and Public Engagement, said the governor made the appeal during a three-day capacity- building workshop organized by the Yobe State government in Kano.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Mallam Wali, he emphasized the need for synergy, knowledge- sharing, and homegrown solutions to tackle developmental challenges.
He highlighted the administration’s commitment to equipping workers with modern skills through workshops and training programs.
“This administration prioritizes quality service delivery, and your role as Focal Persons is crucial in achieving our collective goals.”
Yobe State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information, and Culture, Hon. Abdullahi Bego, noted the government’s significant investment in staff capacity-building to align with current realities.
The workshop featured experts like Prof. Danjuma Gambo from the University of Maiduguri, Dr. Kole Shettima of MacArthur Foundation, and other consultants, with interactive sessions including discussions and group work.
