Taraba’s agricultural potential remains untapped – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described Taraba State as an agricultural powerhouse yet to be harnessed.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the 2025 Taraba International Investment Summit (TARAVEST) in Jalingo, Tinubu noted that the state is endowed with rich agricultural potentials needing investors to tap.

According to Tinubu, agriculture in Taraba goes beyond traditional farming methods, emphasizing the need for modernization and investment.

He also highlighted the potential of the mining sector, stating that the wealth in Taraba is too significant to be reduced to mere statistics.

The President, through the Vice President, assured that the Federal Government is committed to supporting local investment for wealth generation.

He stressed the importance of unity and collective efforts in translating Taraba’s abundant natural resources into wealth.

Speaking earlier, governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State welcomed participants to the summit, assuring investors of the safety and security of the state.

He invited investors to take advantage of Taraba’s investment opportunities, guaranteeing security and peace in the state.
