A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zamfara State chapter, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has advised all politicians with the ambition to contest for gubernatorial seat come 2027 against the incumbent Governor Dauda Lawal, to ignore the idea with immediate effect.
Shinkafi made the call in a press conference in Gusau, Zamfara State capital Wednesday, describing the guber race with Governor Lawal by any candidate on the platform of any political party in the state as political suicide.
The APC Chieftain further revealed that, he was invited by Governor Lawal to participate in his 2nd year anniversary to commission some of the projects executed by his administration alongside Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, and had witnessed wonderful development of the state across numerous sectors.
“Zamfara State has arrived at a stage to economically and socially compete with many states in the federation especially in terms of education, health and city beautification.
“As I am talking to you now, an indigene of Zamfara would feel free to show up and or invite anybody to visit Gusau as a state capital because it has already been beautified and even expanded to serve as capital of the state as against previous times under previous administrations when it was virtually left at the level of local government headquarters position.
