L-PRE: Media practitioners resolve to support livestock farming devt in Adamawa

Critical stakeholders in the media industry have resolved to partner with the Adamawa state livestock productivity and resilience support project (L-PRES) in enhancement of livestock farming through aggressive awareness drive in the state.

The resolution was sealed at a two-day capacity building training of 117 media personnel including journalists, information officers of the 21 local government areas and the social media influencers jointly organized by L-PRES and Dunabel Dynamic Concept Limited, a development communication firm focused on capacity-building and strategic media engagement.

At the training held in Yola on 23th to 24th June, participants were equipped with advanced and improved strategies on project documentation and documentary production to enhance public awareness and buy-in-L-PRES project developmental objectives.

Delivering his speech before  declaring the workshop open, Commissioner for Livestock and Aquaculture Development, Alhaji Tijjani Maksha told the participants that Adamawa state was part of the few states accessing the L-PRES project in the country.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Suleiman,Maksha stressed that such training would greatly enhance the flow of credible information about the livestock value chain, especially to rural communities.
