The Founder/CEO of Rock of Ages Empowerment Foundation (RAEF), a non-governmental organization that Caters for the need and welfare of Widows and Orphans in the society.
Evang. Ignatius Newman Ezeigbo, has told the widows that the situation they find themselves are not a curse because they lost their bread winner but nature own design which can happens to any body therefore widows should not look as if the wall has collapsed on them rather they should be strong and take up the Challenges of training their children.
Evang Newman made the call during the foundation 15th edition of marking international Widows day celebration held in Abuja recently.
With the theme,; “uplifting Windows Dignity, inclusion and Economic strength”, Evang Newman also call on individuals, orgànisations and philanthropist to pay attention to plight of widows and always show compassion on them then in return God always bless those that affected widows lives positively, infact if you Empowered a widow, God never abandon you I want to advice people to key into this project for the benefit of all widow in Nigerià.
“Am using this medium to call on National Assembly to expedite action in making laws to assist Widowhood, because most of them has been thrown away by their husband family members, deprived them of the husband inheritance and force the widows to many unethical practices, with a law on ground this human right violations on the widows will stop”
“We in this Foundation cares for the widows first, since I started this journey of providing for the widows it has been increase to more increase, infact the blessing are enormous such we are expanding the reach out to many of them providing for widows and extended it to other towns and cities including the City of Maiduguri, Borno State where we started from in 2009 and every time widows gathered for this same program there.
We thank God for the ability. And there is better days ahead” ,
” Let me use this opportunity to tell the widows that by next year, there will be bigger Empowerment program for them that will change their lives and over 200 widows will be beneficiaries that will help them in long investment”

According to Newman. “As a widow you can create wealth in time of adversity don’t allowed your situation to weigh you down, imbibed I can do spirit as such taught will motivate you .apart you getting sjkills , make sure all your children from age 10 get skill that would help them as they grow. have what to do is Very important as a widow and your children too ”
Evang Newman also charge widows to join cooperative that will help them in savings their income.
Our medical outreach for widows should be taken seriously because many of youv had health issue before now but with this medical care we introduce some of health challenges have gone,so I want all of you to take it as a point of duty to be here for your Medicare, we are going to launch free transport services just with your ID card you will get free ride for you to come and received treatment and a meal a day after our medical expert examine you of any illness you can received treatment.
” Let say now in 2026 a lot of you will get boost on your businesses as we are going to unveil serious Empowerment program that will turn some of you to big business managers and we are working on it with my friends, relatives and other philanthropists, some of you will grow big business”, Newman assured them
