The acting Governor of Adamawa State, Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri said yesterday that he has returned the stolen mandate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stolen by the embattled former governor, Mr. Murtala Nyako.

Fintiri, who was in the presidential villa Abuja told newsmen that he came to brief President Goodluck Jonathan on the situation in Adamawa as the leader of the country and in his capacity as the acting governor of the state.His words, “But definitely as a PDP man that has taken over as acting governor in Adamawa State, I have to say that I brought back to my party the stolen mandate by the former governor.

“I came to see the President as the leader of this country to give him the details of situation in Adamawa as the acting governor. Fintiri who said Adamawa is fine and calm informed they are into confidence building, having removed Nyako and the destruction of infrastructure and moral of the people.

“Adamawa is fine, Adamawa is calm. We are into confidence building, having removed Nyako and the destruction of infrastructure and moral of our people.

The Adamawa State born politician said Nyako was removed over the allegation proven by the panel stressing there were many allegations which they could not bring up that formed his removal.

“You saw the allegations and they have been proven by the panel, so that cannot be the reason why we removed the man. There were even so many other issues that we could not bring as part of the allegations that formed his removal.

On whether members of the House of Assembly collected money to remove the governor, he asked,”Who gave the money? There must be an evidence of the person who gave the money. In this country, people are used to whatever situation that happened, it is about money. Who gave the money?
