The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) says it will lead a trade and investment mission to the United States (US) from September 9 to September 15.
In a statement , the NACC said the event, themed ‘Flavours Without Borders’, will be held in Miami, Florida.
The statement was jointly signed by the chamber’s executives — Wofai Samuel, acting director-general, and Ehi Braimah, deputy president of the chamber.
The chamber said the mission aims to strengthen trade and investment relations between Nigeria and the US.
“The mission will spotlight Nigeria’s vibrant portfolio of indigenous foods, spices, and value-added products while offering local exporters direct exposure to cutting-edge innovations in packaging, labelling, and regulatory compliance within the U.S. market,” the statement reads.
“A key highlight of the mission includes participation in the American Food and Beverage Show in Miami, Florida.
“The national president of NACC, Alhaji Sheriff Balogun, will be leading the delegation to the United States.
“Some of the delegates will also attend the PACK EXPO in Las Vegas, one of the world’s premier exhibitions for packaging and food processing solutions.
“Attendees will enjoy high-impact activities such as a welcome networking dinner featuring African-American fusion cuisine, expert-led webinars on export readiness and U.S. compliance, a robust product showcase at the WTC Miami, and a guided tour of Miami’s Export Processing Zone in collaboration with Enterprise Florida.”
The group said participants will also embark on a business and pleasure cruise along Biscayne Bay with US trade representatives and industry stakeholders “before concluding the week at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas”.
The engagement, according to the NACC, presents a rare opportunity to explore state-of-the-art food safety technologies, automation tools, and packaging innovations vital to increasing Nigeria’s export competitiveness.
They said the initiative promotes technology and innovation transfer, strengthens Nigeria’s value chains, and projects its culinary and cultural identity on a global stage.
The NACC said American businesses will also benefit from the mission by expanding sourcing opportunities, introducing new African consumer products into diaspora markets, and building reliable supply chain connections with credible Nigerian exporters.
“With sectoral focus areas including agriculture, food and beverage, packaging, energy, and value-added consumer goods, the trade and investment mission reaffirms NACC’s role as a leading facilitator of commercial diplomacy between Nigeria and the United States,” she said.
“Participation fees are $6,280 for exhibiting members and $4,180 for non-exhibiting members. Non-members may participate at $6,430 for exhibitors and $4,330 for non-exhibitors.

Violet Abdulkadir, chairman of the trade mission committee, said Nigerian businesses participating will gain direct access to US distributors, retailers, manufacturers, and investors.
She said participants would also receive first-hand insights into American standards on food safety, traceability, sustainability, and product presentation.
