UBEC donates 20 interactive Smart Boards to Kaduna State

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has donated 20 interactive smart boards to the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KAD-SUBEB) to promote technology-driven learning and inclusive education.

 The donation was made on Wednesday at the Basic Education School, Ungwan Sarki (Buratai), Kaduna, with UBEC Executive Secretary, Dr. Aisha Garba, leading the presentation ceremony.

Dr. Garba described the event as a tangible investment in the future of Nigerian children, emphasizing that the smart boards would give teachers new possibilities and children new ways to learn, explore, and grow.

 She highlighted that the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and forms part of UBEC’s broader nationwide interventions to revamp Nigeria’s basic education sector.

UBEC’s Nationwide Interventions: according to her includes 140 talking computers for learners with special needs,740 interactive smart boards distributed nationwide, 419,293 assorted library resources to boost reading culture, 250 desktop computers for Second Chance Schools and over 100,000 copies of books to strengthen literacy.

The Executive Secretary urged Kaduna State to ensure the smart boards are actively used, maintained, and integrated into daily classroom instruction.

Acting Executive Director of KAD-SUBEB, Mubarak Mohammed, commended UBEC for the donation and pledged optimal utilization of the smart boards to improve learning outcomes.
