The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) has commended Jigawa state government under the leadership of Malam Umar Namadi for the support in the implementation of Shock Response and Social Protection (SRSP) project in Jugawa.

The commendation was made by the Director Disaster Management, Mr Timothy Ali Yohanna who led the delegation team from the National headquarter of Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), to the stakeholders coordination meeting in Dutse.

Yohanna explained that, the meeting is part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and appreciate key partners in the implementation of the Shock Response and Social Protection (SRSP) project in Jigawa State.

According to him, the purpose of the delegation visit, is to acknowledge and commend the Director of Planning and the entire SEMA team for their active support and collaboration since the commencement of the SRSP project in Jigawa State.

He maintained that, the visit will also strengthen the partnership between NRCS and SEMA towards effective humanitarian preparedness and response, as well as to present branded project souvenirs as a symbol of appreciation and partnership.

The Director added, during the visit, the NRCS NHQ team presented NRCS-branded items, include school bag, water flask, T-shirt, face-cap and diary.
