Breaking: Civil Society Hails Uba Sani’s Seven Milestones as Kaduna’s Turning Point

Date:

The Kaduna Democrats League (KDL) has declared Governor Uba Sani as the state’s most transformative leader in recent history, unveiling a string of unprecedented achievements that, according to the group, have “smashed decades of developmental inertia.”

Speaking at a press conference at the historic Arewa House, KDL’s Director of Public Affairs, Khadija Mohammed, reeled out landmark projects that have redefined governance in Kaduna.

From a $62.8 million Kuwait-funded education grant to return thousands of out-of-school children to classrooms, to the distribution of 400 trucks of free fertilizer to 100,000 smallholder farmers, KDL said Governor Sani is turning promises into measurable progress.

Other milestones include 10 strategic road contracts worth billions across key LGAs, backed by ₦3.5 billion in compensation to ensure development without displacement, and a record-breaking ₦19.5 billion IGR haul in Q1 2025 — a feat credited to fiscal discipline, digital reforms, and investor confidence.

In transport, the rollout of Compressed Biogas (CBG) buses has eased urban commuting while promoting clean energy. Humanitarian efforts are also at the forefront, with 500 fully furnished homes, schools, hospitals, and water systems provided to victims of banditry in partnership with the State of Qatar.

The water crisis, a decades-long challenge, is being tackled head-on with a ₦100 billion investment ensuring clean, steady supply to previously dry communities.

“Kaduna is not just working — it’s winning,” Mohammed said. “Governor Uba Sani has broken the chains of neglect and replaced them with people-focused victories. These are not campaign slogans; they are visible, verified, and life-changing.”

The group called on citizens, civil society, and the media to “defend progress and reject distractions,” insisting that the state’s current trajectory must be protected at all costs.
