The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence at the 10th Ghana-Nigeria Leadership Summit in Abuja.
The recognition, conferred by the Ghana Nigeria Achievers Award Foundation, was presented during the 2025 Achievers and Leadership Summit themed “Bridging Borders, Rewarding Excellence: Sustaining the Diplomatic Relations Between Ghana and Nigeria.”
Organizers of the summit said the award celebrates Odumosu’s commitment to hard work, innovation, and his role in repositioning the NSCDC for more effective service delivery in the FCT. They also noted his outstanding efforts in safeguarding critical national assets and promoting synergy among security agencies to ensure a safer environment for Abuja residents.
Receiving the award, Commandant Odumosu expressed gratitude to the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Audi, whom he credited with giving him the platform to serve.
“This award is dedicated to my amiable Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Audi, for counting me worthy to serve in this capacity,” Odumosu said. “For me, each recognition or award confers greater responsibility, which puts me on my toes for more exploits and achievements.”
He further acknowledged the contributions of his personnel, stressing that their collective efforts have made the achievements possible. Odumosu also described the award as a motivation for deeper reflection and a reminder of the need to sustain credible leadership and service to the nation.
He commended the Ghana Nigeria Achievers Award Foundation for the recognition and reaffirmed that the protection of lives, property, and critical national assets in the FCT will remain his top priority.
The Ghana Nigeria Achievers Award Foundation annually recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to both countries across various fields of endeavour.
