EFCC Arrests Manager for Alleged Diversion of N500m in Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Abdulazeez Gbadebo, the station manager of Emadeb Energy Service Limited, for allegedly diverting N500 million meant for the company’s operations to his personal bank account.

According to Dele Oyewale, Head of Media & Publicity at the EFCC, the suspect was arrested following a petition by Emadeb Energy Service Ltd, which alleged that Gbadebo had manipulated pump meters and sold bulk petrol to customers, diverting the proceeds to his personal account.

The EFCC recovered several assets from the suspect, including:Four luxury vehicles: an ash-coloured Mercedes-Benz, an ash-coloured Mini Cooper, a green-coloured Mini Cooper, and a white Mercedes-Benz GLK. One original authorization letter from Kaduna Geographical Information System (KADGIS) A certificate of occupancy with file number KDL 328159, one three-bedroom fully detached bungalow, and three landed properties

The EFCC is currently investigating the suspect, and he will be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded. The EFCC’s swift action demonstrates its commitment to combating financial crimes and protecting the integrity of Nigeria’s economy.
