The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has appointed comrade Henry Ejiefor Ugwu as its new National Secretary –general.
The appointment of Ugwu was made known after the NEC meeting president over by the Deputy National President in charge of Administration,
Ambassador Mohammed Abubakar Bishara.
The release was jointly signed by the Nation of President of the association, Alhaji Musa Mohammed alongside the new Secretary-general,
as the decision followed the adoption of recommendations from a seven-member committee set up to investigate allegations against the former secretary-general, Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim Adeniyi.
The statement also disclosed that the appointment of the new secretary-general takes immediate effect in line with the association’s constitution and the provisions of the Trade Unions Act, Cap. T14, laws of the federation of Nigeria.
It adds: “All members, stakeholders, security agencies, the government institutions and the general public are hereby notified to accord full recognition to comrade Henry Ejiefor Ugwu as the duly appointed National secretary-general of RTEAN”.
