Director Finance and Account, (DFA), FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo, has taken charge of the agency in acting capacity.
A statement from head of the agency’s Public Affairs, Nkechi Isa, disclosed that Sabo received handover notes erstwhile FEMA Director General, Dr. Abbas Idriss.
It added that at a brief hand over ceremony at the FEMA corporate office, Dr Idriss declared that his doors would always be open to FEMA staff whenever the need arises.
Recall that Idriss who was the pioneer DG of the Agency announced his voluntary resignation from FEMA on September 18.
Receiving the handover notes, the Acting Director General, promised to consolidate on the policies of Idriss.
He however commended the former DG for his developmental strides, particularly his efforts to build FEMA from the scratch.
“Sabo holds a BSC ,( Accounting) from the Ambrose Alli University, Epkoma, MA, Business Admin(Finance) from the Nasarawa State University and is presently a PHD student of the same institution.
“He is a member of various professional bodies, including Fellow, Certified National Accountants (FCNA), Fellow Certified System Accountant (USA),Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, 2019
Institution of Certified Public Accounts of Nigeria, 2007 among others.
“Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo was elevated to Director Finance and Account,FCT UBE Board in 2019 and posted to FEMA in 2022”, the statement explained.
