Former Benue State Governor Chief Samuel Ortom has described as ‘heart breaking’, the bereavement suffered by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, who lost his son and grandson within the space of two (2) days.
Chief Ortom while consoling Sen Moro in a statement by his Media Adviser/Consultant Terver Akase, noted that the grief of this double tragedy was difficult.
He added that the pain of losing two family members in such quick succession is beyond comprehension.
He particularly, lamented over the death of Victor Moro, a young man full of promise who had just completed his studies in Turkey and returned home to serve his country under the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC only for his life to be cut short in a fatal motor accident as ‘devastating’.The Yobe State traditional rulers are being honored for their outstanding contributions to sports growth and development in their domains and beyond.
The nomination was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Media and Publicity Committee of SWAN’s 60th-anniversary celebrations.
The statement, signed by Chimezie Anaso (Chairman) and Hamboodewn Orsa (Secretary), cited the Emirs’ exceptional service, dedication, and far-reaching impact on sports development as the reason for their selection.
