The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has flagged off the 2025 ember months operations to ensure safe travels across the country.
Corp Marshall of the Commission, Shehu Mohammed made the disclosure at a press conference in Yola on Monday, stressing that it is an annual tradition of the Commission to intensify campaigns on observing traffic rules and regulations on the roads.
Represented at the Conference by the Adamawa state Command’s Sector Commander of the Commission,Abdulmalik Bello Dama, Mohammed announced that on the facts findings by the Commission, drivers are largely responsible for vehicular crashes due to lack of adherence to traffic regulations.
Mohammed said available reports have shown that from 15th December 2024 to 15th January 2025, four hundred and thirty three people lost their lives in road accidents.
Aduro made the call during a media parley on Monday in Abuja.
He described Tinubu as “a visionary reformer whose leadership foundation deserves consolidation.”
The U.S.-based healthcare expert, who is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aduro Foundation, commended the president’s courage in implementing bold economic and institutional reforms.
“President Tinubu has shown courage in tackling inherited challenges.
“We must allow him the time and mandate to consolidate on the foundation he has laid,” he said.
The healthcare expert highlighted key areas where continuity is crucial, namely: healthcare, education, economic stability, digital innovation and security.
