Igala Journalists Congratulate Maj. Gen. Shaibu on Appointment as COAS

The Forum of Igala Journalists (FORIJA), has extended warm congratulations to Major General Waidi Shaibu on his appointment as the 25th Chief of Army Staff (COAS) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement signed by the Forum’s Secretary, Yusuf Akogu, the group described the elevation of Major General Shuaibu as a well-deserved recognition of excellence, discipline, and patriotism.

The Forum noted that Major General Shaibu’s appointment is a reflection of his years of dedication, loyalty, and exceptional service to the Nigerian Army and the nation at large.

“The new COAS career has been defined by courage, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the unity and security of Nigeria,” the statement read.

The group expressed confidence that Major General Shuaibu’s wealth of experience and strategic insight would bring renewed energy to the ongoing efforts to strengthen national security and combat insecurity across the country.

“It is our hope that under Major General Shaibu’s leadership, the Nigerian Army would witness improved morale, enhanced operational effectiveness, and greater collaboration in ensuring peace and stability across the country,” the statement added.

The Forum and the entire Igala nation see General Shaibu’s accomplishment as a source of inspiration to the younger generation. The group congratulated the new COAS on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
