Niger State Assembly begins screening of Commissioner nominees

The Niger State House of Assembly has commenced screening of the listed commissioner nominees for appointment in to the Nige Executive Council.
The screening which was held at the Assembly complex began with 10 nominees out of the thirty names submitted to the House by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State.
The first nominee screened was Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo from Lapai Local Government, who was unanimously confirmed by the House.
Other confirmed nominees were; Hadiza Asabe Mohammed Bida, Kabiru Abbas Mariga, Nasiru Muazu Chanchaga, Lawal Mohammed Kontagora, Abubakar Musa Paikoro, Barrister Maurice Magaji Munya, Bashir Mohammed Lokogoma Wushishi, and Murtala Bagana from Bida.
According to the Speaker, the instant confirmation is first in the Assembly’s history, marking a remarkable moment in the state’s legislative process.
