The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has reached a significant milestone by celebrating 25 years of dedicated service to Northern Nigeria
In a statement, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, Wazirin Dutse, and Chairman of the ACF Board of Trustees, reflected on the organization’s achievements and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity, peace, and development in the region.
Since its establishment in 2000, ACF has tirelessly addressed the challenges facing Northern Nigeria, advocating for good governance, security, and economic development.
Over the years, the organization has played a pivotal role in promoting peaceful coexistence and national unity, actively championing the rights and interests of the people in the region.
To commemorate its 25th anniversary, ACF organized a series of events, including a golf tournament, a football tournament, roundtable discussions, and a medical outreach initiative.
These events brought together leaders, policymakers, and citizens to discuss the future of Northern Nigeria and celebrate the organization’s accomplishments.
The roundtable discussions centered on key topics, including tourism, security, and the roles of women and youth in the socioeconomic and political transformation of Northern Nigeria.
Prominent speakers included His Excellency Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State, and Dr. Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Additionally, ACF announced several awards, including the Arewa Lifetime Achievement Award, Arewa Distinguished Service Award, and Arewa Prize for Excellence, to honor outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of Northern Nigeria.
Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu expressed confidence that the collective efforts of ACF and its partners will drive positive change, propelling Northern Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole towards greater prosperity. He reaffirmed ACF’s commitment to its core values, striving for a prosperous, peaceful, and united Northern Nigeria while contributing to the overall development and growth of the nation.
