Kaduna-China poultry deal to create 350,000 jobs, generate $450m annual revenue

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has finalized plans to sign a definitive agreement with the Chinese government for an innovative Model Integrated Poultry Development Project in Kaduna. This initiative, announced by the Commissioner of Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, is expected to create 350,000 direct and indirect jobs, generating over $450 million each year.
Malam Maiyaki explained that this accord resulted from “substantive discussions in Nigeria with the Chinese Ambassador, Yu Dunhai.”
Governor Sani was accompanied by a federal delegation led by Mr. Joseph Tegba, the Director-General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, highlighted the national significance of the project.
Valued at $200 million, the project aims to enhance food security, accelerate agro-industrialization, boost exports, and establish Kaduna as a leader in modern agribusiness.
