Christian clergy from various church denominations have praised Governor Uba Sani’s leadership style, which is rooted in fairness and equity, ensuring that all sections of Kaduna State are included.

The church leaders expressed their appreciation during the Christmas carol organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Bishop Ademola Tinuoye, Chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops’ Forum (PBF), reminded attendees of the four significant commitments made by the Governor upon taking office.

Bishop Tinuoye stated, “You promised us fairness, and we know that where there is fairness, there will be no crisis. We can see your fairness in all your dealings and style of leadership.”

He continued, “You promised us equity, and we have seen your commitment to equity in all aspects of your governance. You also promised inclusiveness, and that is evident as everyone is being carried along.”

According to the Bishop, the people of Kaduna State are content. He added, “The word of the Lord says, ‘When the righteous rule, the people will rejoice.’”

Bishop Tinuoye also reminded everyone that the Governor pledged to deliver justice, noting that he has fulfilled that promise as well.

“Last year, you committed to supporting the Christmas carol, and here we are today. Whether you are being informed or not, the people are rejoicing. We love you because you first loved us.”

“May the Lord be with you in the name of Jesus. The church in Kaduna will continue to pray for you, and you need not fear where there is no fear,” he concluded.

In his goodwill message, Reverend Dr. Amos Kiri, President of the United Church of Christ, commended the Governor for taking the time to celebrate with the community alongside his entire cabinet.

Rev. Kiri emphasized that Governor Uba Sani’s attendance was a demonstration of love, peace, and inclusivity in governance. “Over the years, as Christians in Kaduna State, we have not had the privilege of having our Governor join us in a Christian program as you have done,” he remarked.

He also noted that the presence of adherents of other faiths at the event transformed this year’s celebration into an interfaith carol, stating, “We are truly grateful.”

He asserted that if the Governor continues with his current leadership style, “Kaduna State will remain peaceful, Nigeria will experience progress and growth, and the world will be at peace, just as our Lord Jesus Christ came to bring peace and show love.”

Adding to the sentiments, Rev. Dr. Tunde Bolanta, Apostolic Overseer of Restoration Ministries Worldwide, stated that Christmas “is a season of bridge-building, peace, and unity.” He highlighted that the Governor has exemplified this unity.

“For those of us who grew up in Kaduna in the 60s and 70s, I’m a Kaduna boy, a Tudun Nupawa boy; we know that what Governor Uba Sani is doing is bringing back the good old times. I recall that during Sallah, we would visit our Muslim brothers and share meals. During Christmas, too, our homes were filled, and we celebrated together. Senator Uba Sani, we celebrate you.”

“You are embodying the spirit of Christmas, and my hope is that the whole nation pays attention to our Governor. He is paving the way for the future and showing the path for all of Nigeria. He is promoting bridge-building.”

Rev. Bolanta reiterated that Governor Uba Sani is undertaking projects across the state, emphasizing that he is a Governor for all and urging continued prayers for him.

Similarly, the Senior Pastor of House of Purpose Ministry in U/Sunday Chikun LGA, Apostle Yakubu Yusuf, stated that the Christmas Carol has fostered a sense of belonging among the Christian community and the entire populace of Kaduna State.

He called on the citizens to continue living in peace and to pray for the leadership in the state, asking for God’s wisdom and guidance.
