By Abubakar Yunusa

Christmas celebrations brightened across Niger East Senatorial District as Hajia Saadatu Sani Musa rolled out food and cash support to households in the zone.

The large-scale outreach, driven by the Future Pathways Foundation with the backing of Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, reached all nine local government areas of the district.

Beneficiaries described the intervention as timely, humane and uplifting, especially amid prevailing economic pressures.

In Suleja, the focal point of the exercise, no fewer than 100 beneficiaries received bags of rice and cash support, enough, recipients said, to sustain their families through the festive season.

Similar scenes played out across Bosso, Chanchaga, Munya, Gurara, Paikoro, Rafi, Shiroro and Tafa, where over 500 bags of rice were distributed alongside cash donations.

Speaking during the outreach, Hajia Musa said the gesture reflected the foundation’s commitment to restoring hope and keeping special seasons meaningful for ordinary people.

“You do not wait until there is enough for everyone before you act,” she said. “You ensure that someone has enough, trusting compassion to find its way.”

Community leaders praised the initiative for its orderly execution and respectful delivery, noting that it reinforced values of empathy and shared responsibility.

Supporters also acknowledged the role of Senator Musa, describing the outreach as consistent with his emphasis on social welfare and inclusive development.

As festivities continue, the intervention has come to symbolise how targeted compassion can strengthen communities and reaffirm the true spirit of Christmas across Niger East.
