Former Special Adviser to the President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Ima Niboro has been appointed as one of the spokespersons of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election.
Niboro, also a former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), will join the the campaign communications team led by Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, alongside Minister of Information and National Orientation as Co-chairman.
The appointment of the veteran journalist is part of efforts to further bolster the campaign communications team.
Other members of the communications team include Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga; Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, Tunde Rahman; and National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka.
A consummate communications professional, Niboro possesses years of experience in high-end roles in private and government affairs, including a stint at Bellagio Airlines as its Executive Director in charge of Government Affairs.
He is currently the publisher and chief executive officer of the Keeping Them Honest daily (KTH), an on-line newspaper.
