Radda seeks Tinubu’s re-election, flags off 2027 campaign

Date:

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has urged residents of Funtua Zone and the state at large to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in 2027.

Radda made the appeal on Wednesday while flagging off the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 campaign in Funtua, Katsina State, before a large crowd of party supporters.

The governor said the campaign was not merely a political exercise but an opportunity to present his administration’s achievements, engage residents and renew its commitment to security, prosperity and inclusive development.

His Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

Radda said his administration had placed security at the centre of governance, working with security agencies, traditional institutions and the Federal Government to restore lasting peace.

He said, “Without peace, economic activities suffer, children cannot go to school, and farmers cannot go to farm. We will sustain the momentum until every resident can go about his lawful business without fear.”

The governor also highlighted investments in road construction, urban renewal and energy solutions, describing Funtua as a strategic commercial hub for agricultural trade and job creation.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to farmers, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, women and young people through policies aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and private-sector growth.

Radda added that his government was strengthening schools, improving teachers’ welfare, expanding primary healthcare services and extending health insurance coverage to vulnerable residents.

He commended Tinubu for what he described as bold economic reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging that Katsina State would continue to align its policies with Federal Government initiatives.

The governor urged APC candidates and stakeholders to conduct their campaigns with humility, discipline and respect for the democratic choices of the electorate.

He also called on party leaders and grassroots mobilisers across the state’s 34 local government areas and 361 wards to maintain unity, peaceful mobilisation and door-to-door engagement.

Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, thanked residents of Funtua Zone for the large turnout.

Dangiwa said Tinubu was repositioning the national economy, while Radda was delivering tangible results at the grassroots.

He urged party members to strengthen their structures to secure victory in the 2027 elections.

Similarly, the Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa, described the campaign flag-off as a demonstration of the party’s strength and an opportunity to consolidate its political base.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe; former governors Aminu Bello Masari and Ibrahim Shehu Shema; party leaders; federal and state lawmakers; local government chairmen; traditional rulers; candidates and thousands of APC supporters from across Funtua Zone.
