By Jude Opara

Ex-Abia Central Senator, Chris Adighije, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Umuahia South and Abia State at large, to remove non-performing executive members of the party through the 2026 party congress.

This is even as he raised the alarm that some members of the APC are planning to sack him from the party for speaking the truth.

Adighije who addressed Abia APC stakeholders in Umuahia South LGA, said that officials who are stoking division and undermining the interests of the party should not be re-elected during the congress.

He made it clear that APC will correct the mistakes it made in 2023 in Umuahia South and Abia State, saying that he was out to ensure the total victory of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

“I charge you to vote out those executives who did not perform. Use your votes to remove them during the congress.

“The poor performance we had 2023 here will not be allowed to happen again “, he said.

Adighije who charged the APC faithful to deliver their polling units in 2027, warned against sabotage.

He further predicted that former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, would again lose to President Bola Tinubu if he decides to contest the 2027 Presidential election.

Adighije further made it clear that his daughter, Jenifer Adighije who is the Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Power Holding Company, has no plan to dump her job to contest the House of Representatives election in 2027.
