A joint clearance operation by the Kaduna State Police Command and the Kaduna State Vigilance Service has led to the dismantling of two bandit enclaves in Makarfi Local Government Area, restoring calm to the region.
Acting on credible intelligence provided by community members, joint security forces launched a raid targeting criminal enclaves around Durum and Danguzuri, extending toward the Kano State boundary.
During the operation, security personnel engaged the bandits and destroyed two key structures located at Rugar Mijin Goggo and Unguwar Maryamu in Danguzuri.
The sites were actively being used by criminals to hold kidnapped victims.
Security forces launched a targeted operation that disrupted bandit networks operating along the Kaduna-Kano border corridor.
Operatives dismantled two primary structures utilized as holding camps for abducted victims.
It was gathered that joint patrols remain active throughout the area to maintain order and prevent criminal regrouping.
Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, commended the operatives for their gallantry and praised the local community for delivering timely intelligence.
CP Muhammad reiterated the Command’s commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against banditry across the state, urging residents to continue aiding security agencies with actionable information.
