Senator Bomai reaffirms commitment to APC’s success in Yobe

Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, representing Yobe South Senatorial District, reiterated his unwavering dedication to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its success in Yobe State.
Sen. Bomai, in a recent interview with newsmen, emphasized that the achievements of the APC at all levels are crucial for the betterment of all Nigerians.
He called on his constituents to disregard any propaganda propagated by mischief-makers intent on undermining the party and its elected officials.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to facilitate people-oriented projects that enhance the livelihoods of our constituents,” he stated.
Highlighting his tenure’s accomplishments, Senator Bomai pointed to significant progress in rural and urban infrastructure, including the construction of roads and drainage systems, provision of clean water, installation of solar street lights, and initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and skills acquisition.
He also noted the introduction of ICT support in schools as part of his efforts to improve educational outcomes in the district.
Bomai’s commitment to progress and loyalty to the APC signals a focused approach to governance, aimed at fostering development within the Yobe South Senatorial District.
Prof. Oyesoji Aremu, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the institution, stated this on Monday in Owo at a news conference heralding the 15th convocation and 18th Foundation Day of the institution.
Aremu noted that one of the pillars of the university was making quality degree education programmes accessible to indigent students in the country.
He said that no fewer than 705 students across first and higher degree programmes would graduate during the convocation.
The VC added that 72 students had first class, 318 were in Second Class (Upper Division), while 223 students earned Second Class (Lower Division).
He also said 40 students were in Third Class category, in addition to 52 graduands in the higher degrees.
“Achievers stands tall as one of Nigeria’s most forward-thinking private universities, deepening innovation, expanding academic opportunities, and nurturing students who are making remarkable strides in various fields.
“We have strengthened our academic programmes, expanded our faculties, and invested heavily in modern infrastructure and technology to ensure that teaching, learning, and research meet global standards.
“The convocation is not just to celebrate graduates, but the dedication of staff, the trust of parents, and the resilience of our students who continue to represent Achievers University with excellence across Nigeria and beyond.
“Achievers now has two colleges: College of Medicine which is in its third year, and College of Postgraduate Studies comprised of nine faculties.
“From these faculties, there are eleven postgraduate programmes under the College of Postgraduate Studies,” the VC said.(NAN)
