No fewer than five herdsmen were reportedly killed, while over 200 cattle rustled in Yelwa town, in Shendam local government area of Plateau State.

It was reported by the Plateau state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), Alhaji Haruna Boro Hussaini, that the killed herders were allegedly attacked at about 4 p.m. on Sunday, by suspected Tarok militia, who later went away with their cattle to Langtang-South local government area of the state; but the Tarok, on the other hand, through their spokesperson disputed the claim made by the Fulani.

Haruna explained that “it was true that five of our people were killed by Tarok people of Langtang and had made away with 278 cattle; the case had been reported to the soldiers keeping peace in Yelwa”.
