200 women to benefit from empowerment initiative in Adamawa

An international Non governmental organization, GIZ in partnership with federal government and European Union launched a women empowerment program, promoting actions for women’s economic empowerment in Adamawa state.
Speaking at the official launch of the empowerment initiative in Yola Wednesday, Precious Jacdonmic, Head of Component, Gender and Economic participation,GIZ Nigeria and ECOWAS said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment, strengthening resilience, and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
Jacdonmic explained that the initiative will be implemented in Guyuk local government area in the state, noting that the POWER Project is grounded in a simple but powerful belief.
She added that, by focusing on women engaged in micro and small enterprises, this project seeks to strengthen livelihoods, expand economic opportunities, and enhance resilience at the community level.
