Confusion as Abia APC set to have parallel congresses

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) set to hold its Ward and Local Governments congresses there are very probability that there will be parallel congresses in the Abia state chapter of the party.
The likelihood of the parallel congresses is due to the subsisting supremacy struggle between the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu and the former governor of Abia state, Sen. Orji Kalu.
While the Speaker is seen as the political leader of not just Abia state but the entire South East, some other stakeholders who by their positions are inferior to his do not want to see him as their leader.
Owing to this, last week, Benjamin Kalu was said to have been given the wards and local government forms for Abia state by the leadership of the APC.
But he was alleged to have failed to carry everybody along, a development that forced the party to ask him to return the forms. Nevertheless he refused to yield to that directive.
However, it was revealed that irked by this development, the loyalists of Sen. Kalu working with the State Executive of the party in the state vehemently kicked against this and requested that the forms be retrieved and handed over to the state executive who claimed to have been the rightful organ to receive and handle the exercise.
Informed sources at the National Secretariait of the APC said the party was forced to print another forms which was given to a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) said to be a loyalist of Sen. Kalu.
According to the tradition of the party, in states where they have a governor, the forms were handed over the governor who is known as the leader of the party in the state.
The result is that both camps will begin to sell forms to members for the Congresses which will definitely hold in different camps across the state.
