APC tinkers with Zonal congresses, National convention plans

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension of the dates for the purchase and submission of forms for the upcoming Zonal Congress and National Convention.

This is as the party also approved a change in venue for the South South Zonal congress which will now take place in Asaba, the Delta state capital. The Congress was earlier scheduled to take place between Rivers and Cross Rivers states.

The National Publicity Secretary (NPS) of the party, Barr. Felix Morka states this in a statement he issued on Tuesday in Abuja.

Accordingly, the party said that the purchase and submission of forms will now hold from March 12, 2026 to March 23, 2026.

However, the party added that the slight adjustment does not affect the earlier scheduled dates for the Zonal congress and National convention.

“The Party wishes to clarify that this adjustment does not affect the previously scheduled dates for the conduct of the Zonal Congress and the National Convention. The Zonal Congress will hold on March 25, 2026, while the National Convention will take place from March 26 to March 27, 2026, as earlier announced”.

The statement further stated that official notice of these changes in the schedule of activities has been duly given to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as required by law.

The party urged all members and stakeholders to take note of the updates and make necessary adjustments.
