Breaking: Explosion hits Saudi capital Riyadh

Date:

Explosions has reportedly been heard in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

According to multiple news outlets (including Al-Jazeera) and social media monitors, explosions rocked the capital of Saudi Arabia following US attack on Iran.

Witnesses and correspondents have reported hearing loud blasts over the city.

These reports coincide with a broader escalation in the region, including Israeli strikes on Iran.

Similar reports of interceptions or explosions have emerged from other regional capitals, including Abu Dhabi, Manama, and Kuwait City.

There has been no immediate official statement from Saudi authorities regarding the cause of the blasts or any potential damage.

Reports revealed that Israel closed its airspace to civilian flights after announcing it had carried out “preventive strikes” on Iran and activating sirens in Jerusalem.
