Katsina NCP chairman chides APC senatorial aspirant for attacking Shema

The Katsina state chairman of National Conscience Party (NCP), Abdulmumini Sani Aliyu, has hit hard on an APC senatorial aspirant, Kabir Yahaya, insisting he lacked moral justification to complain about alleged human rights violation by Katsina state governor, Ibrahim Shema.

Kabir Yahaya, who had sought the APC ticket for Katsina-Central senatorial seat, in a publication, accused Governor Shema of human rights violation, urging the state’s House of Assembly to either impeach him or face recall.

However, the NCP chairman, in a statement signed and made available to newsmen said the call by Kabir Yahaya was merely the “matter of pot calling the kettle black”.

Sani said: “The said person has no moral justification to say a word on human right violations. Firstly, I’m a victim of his actions”.

He alleged that he had been a subject of the said Kabir Yahaya’s human rights abuse, as according to him, Kabir had, along with one of his sons, beat him up and threatened to kill him on some trump up charges.

“They beat me up and it took the intervention of neighbours and other Good Samaritans to rescue my life.

“For the record, Kabir Yahaya has no moral ground to castigate Shema or anyone as he himself cannot come out clean over human right abuses”, Sani added.
