Sokoto Governor approves salaries for 720 new nurses, midwives

Governor of Sokoto State Dr Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has approved the payment of salaries to 720 nurses and midwives newly recruited by the state government.
The affected nurses and midwives have been deployed to government hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres across the 23 local government areas of the state.
The Governor conveyed the approval on Monday in Sokoto.
He also approved the payment of examination fees for 22 students who had successfully completed their medical studies abroad.
The money is to enable the affected medical students to register for their professional examination run by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), which would enable them to practice in Nigeria.
