Kokami killings: Police arrest 4 over lynching of shop owner

The Katsina State Police Command has announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with a mob action that led to the death of one KC Joe, m, at Kokami village, Danja Local Government Area.

The mob attack followed the stabbing to death of one Ibrahim Auwal by KC Joe following an altercation.

The police said that the deceased family members have been evacuated to safety after the incident, and normalcy has been restored to the village.

The Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, CP Ali Umar Fage, while condemning the incident, urged members of the public to report issues to the nearest police station and avoid taking laws into their hands.

He further called on the public to remain law-abiding as he assured that the case will be thoroughly investigated to ensure justice is served and those involved face the full force of the law.

The command said the suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing.
