2027: APC FCT Chapter swears in new executives, rallies support for Tinubu’s re-election

Date:

With an eye firmly on the 2027 general elections, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun a strategic overhaul of its grassroots leadership, inaugurating three key Area Council executives this week.

Under the direction of the newly elected FCT Chairman, Hon. Ishaku Tanko Yamawo, the party successfully inaugurated executives for Bwari, Abaji, and Kwali Area Councils. These moves are part of a territory-wide exercise aimed at consolidating the party’s influence within the nation’s capital.

A statement signed by Hon. Muhammad Kabir Abubakar, Assistant Publicity Secretary, APC FCT Chapter revealed that during the ceremonies held between Sunday and Monday, Hon. Yamawo emphasized that the time for political complacency is over.

He tasked the new officials with being “proactive and productive,” noting that the strength of the party lies in its ability to maintain a robust structure at the local level.

”We must be intentional about our growth. The work for 2027 starts now, and it begins with a disciplined, energized grassroots leadership,” he stated.

A central theme of the inauguration was the formal mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid.

The Chairman urged members to become ambassadors of the “Renewed Hope Agenda,” arguing that the administration’s policies are already yielding long-term benefits for Nigerians.

Yamawo praised the President’s visionary governance and urged the FCT residents to remain steadfast in their support for the current administration.
