A university don, Prof. Adams Agahiu, has commended President Bola Tinubu for reaffirming his commitment to building a stable, peaceful and prosperous nation.

Agahiu, who is the Director, National Education Summit, gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Abuja .

He said the President had recently reiterated that ongoing political and economic reforms were aimed at replacing structures that had long hindered Nigerians’ prosperity.

According to him, the administration is realigning the economy to enable broader participation and improve opportunities for citizens.

“The political and economic structures that have long undermined Nigerians’ prosperity are being steadily replaced through the realignment of the economy to enable full participation.
“I want to assure Nigerians and the doubting Thomas, that President Tinubu will sustain reforms aimed at creating more opportunities for poor and vulnerable citizens before and after his reelection for a second term in office in 2027,” he said.

He added that the Renewed Hope Agenda was designed to empower citizens to shape their future and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The don urged opposition political parties to collaborate with the Federal Government in advancing rapid economic growth and grassroots development rather than engaging in negative criticism.

He said the administration had continued to uphold democratic principles, including the rule of law, separation of powers and protection of citizens’ rights since assuming office in 2023.

Agahiu also called on Nigerians to disregard what he described as misinformation allegedly promoted by opposition elements against the government.
